Tarangire National Park

Located in northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park is known for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Covering an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers, the park offers a diverse landscape of granitic ridges, river valleys, and swamps.
Wildlife and Habitat
Tarangire is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Tanzania, as well as many other species including zebras, giraffes, and buffalo. The Tarangire River is a vital source of water for the animals, especially during the dry season.

The best time to visit Tarangire is during the dry season from July to September when animals congregate around the Tarangire River, offering spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities.
